Sales of Handmade Paper-bead Jewelry from Uganda

While in Uganda in 2007, Open Door Project Uganda director Rose Carmen Goldberg met a group of women in the Kampala slum of Namuwongo who were selling jewelry they had made from paper. We are excited to be able to offer this beautiful jewelry for sale. Learn more about the Namuwongo Women and Youth Group, and their paper-bead jewelry.

A Gift of Goats Changes Lives

A gift of goats can be what it takes to help an AIDS-affected household become self-sufficient. Open Door Project Uganda funds goats for needy families.

Many AIDS orphans and other AIDS-affected families in Uganda find themselves without shelter when illness makes working impossible, and precious funds are spent traveling to a clinic for treatment. The Rakai Community Based AIDS Organization (RACOBAO), with help from Open Door Project Uganda, provides simple, sturdy houses for needy families.
