Terrific article about Ugandan paper bead jewelry in the ‘Seattle Times’

The Seattle Times Travel section on 12/11/08 featured a wonderful front-page article about jewelry-makers in Namuwongo, the same Kampala (Uganda) slum where the Namuwongo Women and Youth Group make the beautiful paper-beaded jewelry sold by Open Door Project Uganda.

The article also profiles Bead For Life, another nonprofit offering this jewelry for sale, and assisting the Ugandan jewelry-makers.
